Combining New Orleans music with gypsy swing, this high energy group uses tap dance as a form of percussion.

Tap and swing dances have been in the forefront of the development of American music throughout the ages. It has always been an equally important part of self-expression in this style, a form of story-telling through movement and sound. Tap dancing provides percussion for the band and authentic swing dance provides a visual of improvisational wizardry linking live music with dance.

Influenced by music legends Django Reinhardt, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Charlie Parker; this energetic group takes these sounds and converts them into a modern twist flavoring and enticing one's musical palette.  This music recaptures the essence of swing in its fullest vigor.

The group’s latest album, Hot Boudin, depicts this exhilarating music by resurrecting the classics of the swing era but in a modern way. There are four original tunes that embody gypsy swing mixed with classic bebop, creating a style of new orleans swing; this mixture creates a spicy recipe that inspires all, bringing swing to the masses.

"Mainly this is gypsy jazz with a couple of covers, but the group’s main contribution is the addition of a tap dancer—that’s right—who actually serves the group quite well as a percussionist.
